A Short Vacation

Fleeting was the moment when you and I happened. A short vacation from our misconstructed realities of right and wrong. We met, fell in love and had a torrid affair. It was the kind of love that was meant to happen, but was never meant to last.

Your lips were poisoned with lies and you got me drunk with your glossy eyes. You made me feel high, made me believe I can fly, but darling, I never dreamt of the sky.

So thank you for the heart ache, it was a lesson for my sake. Maybe I’ll see you in another life, but for now, I’m happy where I am.
